The thing about chasing fourth…
… Is that compared to going after the league title, you get a lot more leeway from those around you as we saw at Villa Park yesterday. With 17 points from 33, we’re fairly fortunate to even be in the hunt frankly, let alone in a position to close the gap to three tomorrow night.
I haven’t got too much to say this morning, but I do want to clear one thing up: Arsenalistically speaking, Man United winning was definitely what we wanted. Look at it this way: had Spurs won, they’d have had something to crow about. But United winning is totally insignificant: if they go on to win the league too (and perhaps other cup competitions), the fact they won the Carling Cup is hardly going to add greatly to the pain, even if it means completing the quidruple or whatever it is they are after. Equally, if the Carling Cup is the only thing they win, it will hardly diminish the hilarity of them collapsing completely elsewhere.
So all in all, a welcome result and another great David Bentley moment.

you also get to drop lots more points and still have a chance at acheiving your aim. Whereas, if you have a mini blip when going for the title, its all over. we are so far from being title challengers its laughable. wenger needs to realise that we need a good physical central midfielder to battle us through physical games. He does not have to be a top player like Vieira, but I dont think song is good enough and I dont think Den is up to the battle of PL football. Who else can play the DM role? No one. Maybe try Djourou there?

firstly, good on u for having the presence of mind to keep writing… i’m totally gutted and speechless at the moment.. for 3 years, the worst most gutwrenching moment was when united ended our unbeaten run. But alas we’ve had 2 or three or 15 of those moments already this season!!! roll on 09/10…
secondly, i’m proud i support a club that remains in 2 cups and still in with a chance of a top 4 finish, and i’m even proud that that is seen by many as a failure. This season is certainly one of the lows of an 18year (and counting) long devotion to Arsenal, but most football fans in the world (i.e. non arsenal fans) are still envious of our club.
I don’t know if a setup that includes a viera type (4-4-2) is what Arsenal ‘do’ any more… I think Wenger has been trying to perfect 4-2-3-1, and i don’t think he’s far off. I guess a player of higher calibre than den and song woudl certainly come in handy, but i think the real trouble is the attitude of the players. i read somewhere that they seem to think that getting to play for the Arsenal means’s they’ve made, but they’re sadly wrong..
I’m not english, but i watch the EPL, and i feel it’s gettign silly that Arsenal represent the French legion, whatever Wenger’s views on this. It’s not Wenger FC, its Arsenal FC. Why don’t we have some British or Irish players? Steven Ireland is a fantastically good player, and has come a long way, and would be a good addition to our sqaud. same for Barry, Jagielka (drool), Danny Murphy, Milner (DROOOOOL), i mean ffs Wenger should stop being such a geek and realise he needs some passion from his players and some blind love from the fans.
There are plenty of other good British Isles players, i just don’t know if they will be available at a price wenger can afford..

BUT…. i am extremely optimistic about the next few years. I have no doubt (seriously, none at all) that Arsenal will break through to the next level like SAF has acheived so far this last couple of seasons with United (remember how crap they looked over 04/05 & 05/06? C.Ron included??)
And i think sooner rather than later, Wenger’s masterplan will fall into place and we’ll be back on top in style and undisputed.

We are in a trial modification right now - just made the first payment on March 1, 2010. Our payment has gone UP about $200 per month, and it totals 48% of our pretax income. Yeah. AND, we had to start making the payments without ever having been told what the principal balance will be, or what the interest rate will be (our original loan was a neg. amort. and the modification may include taking the principle down to the original amt….or somewhere in between?) We need help, but having the payment go UP is not feeling real helpful right now.

Funny part is that the Republican party was formed to FREE the slaves (which the Democrats opposed). Martin Luther King was a Republican. And now they have their own ‘Coffee Party” full of children of the rich and people (of all colors) are ready to fall at their feet. By the way, do you know the difference between the Republican and Democrat parties? Republicans are rich greedy company owners who never worked a day in their lives and Democrats are the children of the rich greedy company owners that are still rebelling against their rich greedy Republican parents. And until Mommy and Daddy stop taking care of them, they will continue to do so. The worse part about it is, the hard working Americans are the ones stuck in the middle because somebody has to work so the money can keep rolling in. Oh, that’s right, Clinton (another poor little rich boy) sent all the good jobs overseas when he signed NAFTA so all the rich, greedy, company owners could pay kids 50 cents a day in sweat shops. (It’s legal over there)

Is there something wrong with your blog or with my web browser? I keep clicking on the rss feed and I get some strange code from the browser. The feed content shows many strange characters and it looks messy. Maybe it’s from the new addon I set up to get the subscription feeds into a custom way. Frustrating, never the less.
